Use of cookies

We use cookies for our websites. Cookies are small text files which are sent to your browser by our webserver when you visit our websites and which are saved on your computer for retrieval at a later date.

This website uses cookies to the following extent:

1. Transient cookies (temporary use) Examples: Session cookie of Google Analytics (explanation in web analysis chapter)

2. Permanent cookies (time limited use) Examples: Google Analytics (explanation in web analysis chapter)

3. Third party cookies (of third party providers) Examples: Double click (explanation in use based online advertising chapter)

Cookies can generally be broken down into two categories:

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. In particular, these include the session cookies. These save a so-called session ID, with which various requests of your browser can be assigned to the joint session. By means of these, your computer can be recognised again when you return to the website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

Permanent cookies are deleted automatically following a defined period which can vary from cookie to cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

You can configure your browser settings in accordance with your wishes and you can, for example, reject the acceptance of third party cookies or all cookies. However, we wish to point out that in such a case, you may not may able to use all of the functions of this website.

Further information as to how cookies can be rejected via special browser plugins can also be found in the introduction to the chapter "Incorporated services" later on in our data protection declaration.

Further information concerning cookies can be found in the portal of the Technical University of Berlin - Online Consumer Security: https://www.verbraucher-sicher-online.de/thema/cookies

Web analysis

It is important for us to make our websites as optimal as possible and therefore make these more attractive for our visitors. In order to do so, it is necessary for us to know which parts are most popular with our visitors. For this purpose, we use the following technologies in our interest:

Google Analytics On our websites, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google. Google Analytics uses cookies which are saved on your computer and which enable us to analyse use of the websites. The information concerning your use of our website which is generated by the cookie is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. We have activated IP anonymisation on our websites. By means of these, your IP address is shortened by Google before the transfer in Member States of the European Union or other Member States of the European Economic Area. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the websites, to compile reports concerning the website activities and to provide us with other services connected to the use of the website and the use of the Internet. The IP address which is transferred from your browser in the course of Google Analytics is not combined with other data by Google. You can prevent the saving of the cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. You can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin which can be obtained via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. The use of alternative plugins or the de-activation of all cookies in the settings of your browser also prevents the analysis of your use behaviour.
Note: Should you delete your cookies, this means that the opt out cookie will also be deleted and will need to be reactivated by you. The provider is Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Further information concerning data protection at Google can be found at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

As a Google AdWords customer, we also use Google Conversion Tracking, an additional analysis service of Google Inc. Should you have come across our web shop via a Google advert (AdWords advertising above / next to the search results of Google), Google will set an additional cookie on your computer, the so-called conversion cookie. This cookie is not used to identify you personally, rather it enables us to analyse the redirections to our website via Google adverts and the resulting decisions to purchase the products we offer.

Google does not currently offer an opt out cookie for this cookie. You can also de-activate the saving of the conversion cookie by setting our browser accordingly or by using additional browser plugins.

Further information concerning Conversion Tracking of Google AdWords can be found at: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722022?hl=de
The provider is Google Inc,1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Further information concerning data protection at Google can be found at:
https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Integrated services

In order to provide additional services, we integrate the following external services.
All services described below can be de-activated by using special plugins for your browser or by concretely preventing the necessary connection to the corresponding servers. However, please bear in mind that the use of such tools could impair everyday comfort, as many aspects of the website will no longer function as you would usually expect.

Interested readers are advised to use tools such as NoScript, uBlock Origin or uMatrix. There are many tools which wish to make Internet traffic generally more secure, however, these are not automatically data protection friendly.

If configured correctly, these tools can otherwise also prevent the web analysis referred to above or use-based advertising networks and other connections established to third party providers in this respect generally for all websites which you visit.

Google Maps

We integrate components of Google Maps into our website, in order to show you the precise location of our partner restaurants. By means of this, a connection is automatically established between your browser and the Google Maps server and as a result, your IP address is also transmitted. Should you also be logged in to Google with an existing user account at the same time you visit our websites, it is possible for Google to also assign the visit to our websites to your user behaviour. In addition, further cookies can be sent to your browser by Google. We have no control over this process and are also not informed by Google of the transmitted content. The provider is Google Inc,1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Further information concerning data protection at Google can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Google Web Fonts

Google Web fonts are implemented on our websites. These fonts are being used for the proper presentation of text. Using Google Web Fonts will access a Google server in the USA, unless your browser can access a local copy in the cache. Your IP address will be transmitted to Google. If you are also logged in to Google with an existing user account while visiting our websites, Google may also assign your visit to our website to your user behavior. We have no influence on this procedure and also do not receive any information from Google about the transmitted content.

The provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
